Ashley, a musical prodigy, began his musical journey at the tender age of three, mastering the piano. By the age of 13, he had taken up the saxophone and by 18, he had achieved remarkable success, completing his grade 8 Associated Board Exams in both instruments with high distinctions.
At the age of 17, Ashley’s talent was recognised when he was admitted to the prestigious Chethams School of Music, where he immersed himself in the study of both jazz and classical music. This unique opportunity allowed him to perform alongside renowned jazz musicians like Johnny Dankworth and Peter King, further honing his skills.
After his studies at Chethams, Ashley continued his musical education at the renowned Paul McCartney School, the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, where he primarily focused on jazz. Since his graduation, Ashley has embarked on a successful career as a full-time session musician, performing at various venues across the UK and internationally. He has collaborated with renowned function bands in London and has also gained a reputation for playing saxophone alongside DJs, providing a unique and exciting experience for partygoers.
Ashley’s musical journey has taken him to some of London’s most exclusive nightclubs, including The Arts Club Mayfair, a popular spot among A-list celebrities such as David Beckham, Graham Norton, and Nicole Scherzinger. He has also been Steven Gerrard’s resident saxophonist for the past five years, performing at Gerrard’s functions at his home in Liverpool and in Portugal.
